A Group for All Leaders

Chances are, if you're reading this very-first-blog-post I've ever written, you're already aware of LIFT KC. I thank you for being a part of this group.

When Kelly and I started LIFT KC, all we really had was a vision to bring diverse leaders together to meet, mingle, and ideally, build the relationships necessary to advance Kansas City and the surrounding communities. We keep getting told what makes us special is our intentionality in our diverse audience. It started out as a simple rule of 50/50 male-female and people of color, but it's so much more than that now. Why? Because it's become abundantly clear to me that different #perspectives is really the result of that original focus. It's freakin' awesome, and I love it...

You can expect us to do our best to bring engaging #changemakers to be lead our discussion every quarter. You can also expect to see more content, upcoming event schedules, and takeaways from previous events right here on this blog. (Of course, Kelly and I both have day jobs, so give us a little grace, please and thank you.)

We expect you to be engaged, just like you've been all along. Seriously. I can't tell you how much I appreciate you all #showingup, contributing your thoughts, providing great feedback, and then sharing what you've learned with the people you have access and influence with. Keep it up!

It's people like you who are leading this city, whether you realize that or not. Thank you for being you, and thank you for being part of LIFT KC.

Best,

Adam
