About the event

In a historic race for Jackson County, two African American women were on the ballot this past November for Jean Peters Baker's successor. LIFTKC member Melesa Johnson was the victor, making her the first-ever African American Female to hold the office.

Normally, we have a panel discussion at LIFTKC, but given the significance of this role, we're giving her the stage to herself. Join us, as we hear from her, and she hears from us.

Agenda:

4:30pm -5:30pm: Happy Hour Networking

5:30pm - 6:30pm: Conversation with Melesa

6:30pm - 7:00pm: Wrap up and Q&A
